Pack your lawn chairs and plan to spend the entire day at the 4th annual Green Living Expo learning about how to live more sustainably, eat healthier, save money and do it all while listening to live music, too! For the first time this year, From the Heart Recording Studio and Sound Production in Sopchoppy will line up area talent to provide family appropriate live music from their outdoor sound stage at the Expo on Saturday, May 8 at Riversprings Middle School. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. the line-up will feature accomplished musicians Ron Patrick, Ernest Toole, Ralph Peletier, the Sopchoppy sensation Rick Ott himself, and keyboard/sax star Jimmy Graham. Special entertainment for children will be provided from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Besides listening to local musicians, visitors to the Expo will be able to choose from the eighteen 45 minute educational workshops offered, visit dozens of exhibits, and attend a documentary film festival, another first for the expo this year. Lunch and other goodies will be available for purchase from food vendors, and local farmers will have fresh produce for sale. There is no better way to spend a beautiful spring Saturday than learning how to live better and have fun doing it! Admission is free and the public of all ages is invited to attend this special event sponsored by Sustainable Big Bend, Inc. and the Wakulla County School District.
